ACCOUNTS ASSISTANT

Accounts Assistant – Client and Internal

Reporting to the Finance Manager and working with the Bookkeeper, the responsibilities under this role with Marbury will be:

  • handling accounting work for the company including monitoring and chasing accounts receivable, and billing using the accounting and billing systems
  • ensuring prompt and accurate billing and maintaining the master billing schedule
  • liaising with fee earners and clients for billing queries
  • client bookkeeping using Xero cloud accounting software, liaising with clients
    managing audits on behalf of clients and liaising with the IRD as appropriate
  • client payroll and MPF
  • assisting in the preparation of management reports and analysis
  • any other duties that may be deemed appropriate for this role

Skills and attributes

  • LCC higher level qualification/ Diploma in Finance/Accounting or related disciplines
  • 4 years relevant working experience
  • proficient in Microsoft Office essential
  • knowledge of financial system software (MYOB, Xero) would be an advantage
  • detail oriented with good organisational and data management skills
  • ability to work well in a team-environment as well as independently
  • good command of written and spoken English
  • fund administration experience a plus
